Authorship is the idea that anyone on the web can post and publicize anything they please for sharing purposes and labeling someone as an author assigns credibility or blame to a person if what they write is correct or not. However people who write anonymously on wikipedia I believe are not authors because they do not publicly reveal their names even though they write content for the purpose of sharing the information with anyone with a computer. I also believe wikipedia has made the internet too public in that anyone can write whatever they please and even though there are people who correct the mistakes, inevitably there will always be at least a couple of mistakes that change the meaning of the information, and thus the credibility of the internet. In addition, in other countries such as China where freedom of speech is restricted, unbiased information on certain topics related to the government is impossible to find due to internet search restrictions. I believe that what google did with china's server would be considered hypocritical in that people are limited from obtaining important information, even if it criticizes the Chinese government, and are only doing this for the sake of money. However, ultimately it is not Google's decision to decide who views what on the web; it should be the government's, even if it is as oppressive as the Chinese's. The toulon gong is a prime example of something that was censored.
