One question I had in mind would be what would be the ideal way for writing instruction to be successful? Can the exact same principle be applied in other areas of learning/ instruction? I agree with Reynolds argument that writing instruction should be changed to reflect the changes in the geographical identities of students. For example, the article proves through a study of students that they know more than they think they do about writing, but rather we haven't provoked their "spatial imaginations". In this age where technology and screens dominant nearly all aspects of a student's life nowadays, exploring the outdoors, visiting places that have not been visited before, and dwelling can trigger a student's ability to communicate effectively. Being constrained to sitting in only a classroom or on the internet will diminish a student's analytical abilities, so therefore time should be kept aside for the student to walk around to put themselves in a different environment, whether its through a field trip or another social event.
